SMSU announces seven signings for 2012-13

MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University head wrestling coach Jesse Nelson announced the signing of seven student-athletes for the 2012-13 wrestling season on Friday.

Tyler Adams (Wasilla, Alaska), Kyle Begin (Anoka, Minn.), Stephen Ellis (Anchorage, Alaska), Cody Fritz (Solon, Iowa), Travis Longtin (Minneota, Minn.), Cody Reed (Flandreau, S.D.) and Caleb Smothers (Manson, Iowa) have all signed letters of intent and will continue their academic and athletic careers this fall at SMSU.

St. Olaf adds eight wrestlers to its lineup

“This is the one of the best recruiting classes in the recent history of St. Olaf Wrestling,” stated Coach Sean Ahrar. “In the last three years, St. Olaf College has emerged as a regional power finishing fourth at the 2012 NCAA Div. III Regional Championships. I am very pleased with our outstanding incoming freshmen and am confident that they will add to and continue our fine wrestling tradition.”
