Dragon Wrestling Golf Outing Scheduled for August 16

MOORHEAD, Minn. — MSU Moorhead wrestling has scheduled its 13th annual golf outing for Friday, August 16, at Frazee Golf Course in Frazee, Minn. The event will be a four-person scramble with a start time of 1 p.m.

The MSU Moorhead Wrestling program invites you to its 13th Annual 2024 Dragon Wrestling Golf Outing. This event is a great opportunity for MSUM coaches and wrestlers to meet participants, say thank you and get former wrestlers together prior to the upcoming wrestling season.

Final 2023-24 National Girls High School Rankings

 The National Wrestling Hall of Fame, USA Wrestling and FloWrestling have published the July 2024 rankings for high school girls wrestlers for the 2023-24 season. This national ranking evaluates all girls enrolled in grades 8-12, and athletes from all 50 states are eligible for selection.

This is the final ranking of the 2023-24 season and includes all of the wrestlers who competed this year, including those who are graduating seniors. It is being timed prior to the biggest and most prestigious event of the season, the 2024 USMC Junior/16U Nationals in Fargo, N.D., July 12-20.

Wrestler Ty Copsey to enter the Augustana Athletics Hall of Fame

Augustana Athletics Names Nine as Part of 2024 Hall of Fame Class

Augustana Vice President for Athletics Josh Morton is pleased to announce the Augustana Athletics 2024 Hall of Fame Class. The ceremony will take place on Sept. 20 in 5 Oaks in Sioux Falls. The following day, the Augustana football team will host Northern State, where the inductees will be honored at halftime.

Tickets to the 54th Hall of Fame Banquet will be available soon.

The nine inductees are John Anderson (men’s basketball), Craig Bosch (football), Ty Copsey (wrestling), Alex Feeney (women’s basketball), Lori Fossum (volleyball), Katie Jesperson (women’s tennis), Becky Mancuso (softball), Cam McCaffrey (men’s basketball), and Tony Viger (baseball).

Long-time Concordia Wrestling Coach Doug Perry to enter The Cobber Athletics Hall of Fame

2024 Cobber Athletics Hall of Fame Class Announced

MOORHEAD, Minn. — Concordia Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson announced that six former student-athletes, which includes one long-time coach, will be inducted into the Cobber Athletics Hall of Fame this fall.

Doug Perry ’65 was a 2-sport athlete during his student-athlete days at Concordia. He was a member of the 1964 Cobber football team that won the MIAC title and claimed the NAIA National Co-Championship and was also a 4-year member of the Cobber track & field squad where he was one of the team’s co-captains in 1965. After graduating from Concordia, Doug returned to the athletic department and became a fixture in the athletic department for almost 30 years. Doug’s long-time tenure as a coach at Concordia included being an assistant coach for the football program for 27 years as well as head coach for the men’s and women’s track field teams and head coach of the wrestling squad. He coached numerous All-Americans, MIAC champions and All-Conference award winners during his time at Concordia.
