Mpls. Youth Wrestling Club Drops Fees To The Mat

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — In a college wrestling room that has produced 11 national team titles and numerous individual champions, a group of kids is beginning their own wrestling journey.

“Whether you’re feeling a little trouble at work or life in general, and you get knocked down, this sport is all about how you get back up,” organizer Justin Benjamin said.

Wrestling club keeps growing with year-round instruction

Fargo – There was no “how-to” manual for Ryan Kringlie and Steve Walton to refer to when they decided to create a youth wrestling club in Fargo 14 years ago.

Resources may have been in short supply, but passion for the sport was not.

Both Kringlie and Walton had sons interested in competing in wrestling. At the time, Kringlie’s son, Trevor, was participating in a youth program at Fargo South and Walton’s son Tommy was wrestling in Fargo North’s youth program. Continue reading at www.inforum.com
