MINNEAPOLIS — Top-ranked heavyweight Chad Johnson (JR, Ferryville, Wis./De Soto HS) led the Auggies with two pins and a major decision as the Augsburg College wrestling team went 2-1 at the Minnesota Duals, held on Saturday at Si Melby Hall.

The No. 7-ranked team in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III national poll, Augsburg (5-4 overall) claimed a 24-12 win over No. 17-ranked Concordia College-Moorhead (5-5), dropped a 23-10 decision to St. John’s University (8-4) and scored a 31-16 win over St. Olaf College (2-5).

Kasprick Caps Comeback Win For Concordia-Moorhead Over Univ. of Mary

MOORHEAD, Minn. — Cody Kasprick capped a nine-point comeback and helped No.11-ranked Concordia post a 20-18 win over the University of Mary on Tuesday. Kasprick earned a technical fall in the final match of the meet after the Cobbers trailed by three heading into the bout at 285.

Cobbers Go 2-1 In The Big Easy

New Orleans, La. —Led by perfect 3-0 individual records from Tom Bouressa, Josten Coleman and Kevin Fynboh, Concordia posted a 2-1 team mark at the highly competitive Gator Duals in New Orleans, La. on Sunday.

The Cobbers posted wins over Iowa colleges Simpson and No. 16-ranked Luther and lost to No.3-ranked Elmhurst (Ill.) in the one-day, three-match tournament. The 2-1 record brings Concordia’s overall season dual-meet mark to 3-3 for the year.
