In its first action of the new year, the No. 3 Minnesota Wrestling team currently sits in second place after the first day of competition at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Flowrestling.org have partnered to bring extensive live coverage of the 2013 Southern Scuffle, presented by Defense Soap. Jayson Ness, who won a national title at Minnesota, now helps coach the team.
Jayson Ness sent a letter to J Robinson as a child that said he wanted to coach the Gophers.
It was a small gesture at the time, one that Ness wasn’t sure Minnesota’s wrestling coach would recognize.
