#4 Huskies to defend NWCA Duals Title on Jan. 12-13

The #4 ranked St. Cloud State University wrestling team (7-0, 1-0 NSIC) will open defense of its NWCA Division II National Duals title on Jan. 12 with a 9 a.m. match against UNC-Pembroke at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield, Ill.

This double-elimination duals tournament will continue through Jan. 13 and it will feature many of the nation’s top ranked Division II teams including #1 Nebraska Kearney, #2 Newberry, #3 Central Oklahoma, #5 Upper Iowa and #6 Grand Canyon.

DII/DIII National Duals Preview

For the first time in National Duals history Wartburg and Augsburg will not meet for the Division III championship.

Either Wartburg or Augsburg has won the NWCA National Duals title at the D-III level since its inception in 2002. AWN Preview: Division III National Duals

For the second year in a row, some of the best college wrestling action outside of Division I will take place on the mats at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield, Ill. as the National Wrestling Coaches Association will host the NWCA/Cliff Keen Multi-Divisional National Duals.
