NWCA NCAA DIII Rankings

Manheim, PA — On Friday the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released their sixth and final set of Division III regular-season rankings. This is in advance of next weekend’s regional tournaments. Wartburg finishes the season atop the tournament poll with 87 points followed by North Central (41 pts). Rounding out the top five are #3 Wabash (41.5), #4 Baldwin Wallace (39.5), and #5 Coast Guard (29.5).

The individual rankings saw two new #1s at 125 and 141. Jacob Decatur of Baldwin Wallace takes over as the new #1 at 125 while Mount Union’s Jordin James moved to the top spot at 141.

Manheim, PA – On Thursday the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released their fifth set of regular-season rankings. This is in advance of a busy week of competition highlighted by the top Division III wrestling rivalry, the “Battle of the Burgs” where #8/#4 Augsburg hosts #6/#1 Wartburg. This weekend’s slate also includes one of the top DIII tournaments in the Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational.

Wartburg remains at the top of the Top 25 Tournament poll while Loras jumps from #2 into the top spot in the Top 30 Dual poll with their 9-0 record. North Central (#4/#2) and Wabash (#5/#3) continue to be the only two schools that find themselves ranked in the top five of both polls.

Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released their fourth set of regular-season rankings following last week’s NWCA/USMC National Multi-Division Dual Championships in Louisville, KY. Wartburg remains at the top of the Top 25 Tournament poll while UW-La Crosse moves to the top of the Top 30 Dual poll following their National Duals Championship. North Central (#4/#2) and Wabash (#5/#3) are the only two schools that find themselves ranked in the top five of both polls.

Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released their third set set of individual and tournament team rankings as well as their first set of dual team rankings in advance of next week’s NWCA/USMC National Multi-Division Dual Championships in Louisville, KY.

Wartburg sits atop the Tournament Poll with 55 points while Coe, with a 4-0 record, takes the top spot in the Dual Poll.

The next round of rankings will surely be impacted over the next few weeks as many of the top Division III teams will be in action at the Citrus Invitational and the NWCA National Duals.

Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released their second set of NCAA Division III Regular Season rankings on Friday. The tournament team rankings were reshuffled as North Central made the jump from ninth place all the way to the top spot. Warburg remained in second place with UW-La Crosse joining them with 42 points. The rest of the top five was rounded out by #4 Loras (41.5 pts) and #5 Wabash (33.5)

The next set of rankings will include a team dual poll and will be completed prior to the NWCA’s Multi-Division National Dual Championships will take place in Louisville, KY on January 6-7.

Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released their first NCAA Division III Regular Season Coaches Poll on Friday. The individual rankings and the tournament team rankings saw quite the shakeup from the preseason polls as wrestlers who are not certified and have not competed thus far were removed from the individual rankings.

Jumping from preseason #3 to the top spot is Loras College while Wartburg slid to the #2 spot. Rounding out the top five are #3 Stevens Institute (34.5 pts), #4 Augsburg (34 pts), and tied for fifth place is UW-La Crosse and Baldwin Wallace with 31 pts each.

Manheim, PA – Significant shuffling took place in the latest NWCA Division III Coaches Rankings released on Friday as only teams and athletes that had taken to the mat this season were included. Coming in atop the new team rankings is perennial DIII power Wartburg with eight ranked individuals. Wisconsin-La Crosse, the US Coast Guard Academy, Mount Union, Baldwin Wallace, and John Carroll round out the rest of the top-five.
