A total of nine student-athletes from the St. Cloud State University wrestling team were named to the 2019-20 NWCA Division II Scholar All-America team.
This group included NCAA national qualifiers junior Jake Barzowksi (Mount Prospect, Ill./Notre Dame H.S.), freshman Joey Bianchini (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Immaculate Conception H.S.), senior Kolton Eischens (Pierz, Minn./Healy H.S.), junior Devin FitzPatrick (Mahtomedi, Minn./H.S.), sophomore Noah Ryan (Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville H.S.) and sophomore Garrett Vos (Bonifacius, Minn./Waconia H.S.) along with sophomore Devin Donovan (Wheaton, Ill./North H.S.), junior Adam Hedin (Rosemount, Minn./H.S.) and freshman Brock Schlough (Menomonie, Wisc./Boyceville H.S.).
A total of 267 student-athletes from 49 institutions nation-wide were honored in 2019-20. In order for a student-athlete to be recognized with this award, they must have a minimum 3.4 cumulative grade average on a 4.0 scale, with that benchmark at 3.2 for those who have qualified for the 2020 NCAA DII wrestling championships. The athletes must have also competed in a minimum of five dates of competition.
