NWCA Final Regular Season NCAA Women’s Coaches Poll

MANHEIM, PA – In the final set of National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Women’s Wrestling rankings, there was a change atop the rankings as King University jumped North Central College to reclaim the top spot. The remainder of the top five stayed the same, with McKendree University, Colorado Mesa University, and Augsburg University.

King regains the top spot with 116 points, while North Central has 109 in second. King and North Central are the only teams with at least ten individuals ranked as the Tornado lead the way with 15, and North Central has 14. McKendree University stayed at third with 74 points, while Colorado Mesa is fourth, and Augsburg is tied for fifth with 56 and 45 points, respectively. McKendree has seven individuals ranked, while Colorado Mesa has six and Augsburg has four, respectively.

Simon Fraser University has six ranked individuals and stayed sixth with 42 points, while Lock Haven University is ranked seventh with 25 points and three individuals ranked. Gannon University has five individuals ranked and is ranked eighth with 23 points. Sacred Heart University and Aurora University round out the top 10 with 21 and 16 points, respectively. Sacred Heart has six individuals ranked, while Aurora has one.

NWCA NCAA Women’s Coaches Poll

MANHEIM, Pa. – The latest set of National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Women’s Wrestling rankings saw the top eight of the tournament rankings in the same order. North Central College edged King University by two points to stay in the top spot. King stayed atop the dual rankings.

North Central remains in the top spot with 111 points, while King isn’t far behind at 109. King and North Central are the only teams with at least ten individuals ranked, as the Cardinals lead the way with 15 and King has 14. McKendree University stayed at third with 75 points, while Colorado Mesa University and Augsburg University are tied for fourth with 51 points. McKendree has eight individuals ranked, while Colorado Mesa and Augsburg have seven and six, respectively.

Simon Fraser University has six ranked individuals and stayed sixth with 36 points, while Presbyterian College remains at seventh with 24 points and three ranked individuals. Lock Haven University moved up two spots to eighth with two individuals ranked and 21 points. East Stroudsburg University moved up one spot to ninth with 16 points and three ranked individuals. Sacred Heart University rounds out the top 10 with three individuals ranked and 15 points.

MANHEIM, PA – The latest set of National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Women’s Wrestling rankings saw a change at the top of the tournament rankings. North Central College edged King University by one point to regain the top spot. King stayed atop the dual rankings following their NWCA National Duals championship earlier this month.

North Central takes over the top spot with 107 points while King isn’t far behind at 106. King and North Central are the only teams with at least 10 individuals ranked as the Tornado lead the way with 14 and North Central has 13. McKendree University jumped Colorado Mesa University into the third spot with 73 points while Colorado Mesa has 63 points. McKendree has eight individuals ranked while the Mavericks have seven. Augsburg University held steady at fifth with 50 points and five ranked individuals.

Simon Fraser University has six ranked individuals and stayed sixth with 40 points while Presbyterian College remains at seventh with 23 points and three ranked individuals. Sacred Heart University jumped into the top 10 at eighth with 21 points and three ranked individuals while Gannon University and Lock Haven University round out the top 10. Gannon is ranked ninth with four individuals ranked while Lock Haven has two individuals ranked and jumped from tied for 18th to 10th with 17 points.

King University extended the gap between second-ranked North Central College to reclaim the top spot by one point, while Aurora University enters the top 10 for the first time. The first set of dual rankings were also released with North Central holding the top spot.

King takes over the top spot with 104 points, while North Central is second with 93 points. King and North Central are the only teams with at least 10 individuals ranked as the Cardinals lead the way with 14 and King has 13. Colorado Mesa University regains the third spot over McKendree University with 79 points, while McKendree has 53 points. The Mavericks have seven individuals ranked, while McKendree has eight. Augsburg University held steady at fifth with 52 points and five ranked individuals.

King University jumps North Central College to reclaim the top spot by one point while East Stroudsburg University enters the top 10 for the first time. The first set of dual rankings were also released, with North Central holding the top spot.

King takes over the top spot with 93 points, while North Central is second with 92 points. Both teams have 12 individuals ranked and are the only two institutions with at least 10 individuals in the rankings. McKendree University also moves up one spot with 73 over Colorado Mesa University’s 71 points, as each have seven individuals ranked. Augsburg University held steady at fifth with 52 points and five ranked individuals.

NWCA NCAA Women’s Coaches Poll

MANHEIM, Pa. – The second set of National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Women’s Wrestling rankings was released on Thursday. The top five teams stayed the same while Lock Have University cracks the top 10 for the first time in program history.

North Central College stays atop the poll with 97 points while King University stays in the two slot with 85 points. King has the most individuals ranked, 12, as they are followed by North Central, 11, and Colorado Mesa University with 10. Colorado Mesa is ranked third with 77 points while McKendree University comes in fourth with 70 points. Augsburg University rounds out the top five with 51 points. McKendree and Augsburg both have five individuals ranked.

Presbyterian College jumped up two spots to sixth with 35 points as they are trailed by Simon Fraser University with 34 points. Tiffin University comes in eighth and Lindenwood University held steady at No. 9 with 16 points. Lock Haven jumps nine spots into the top 10 for the first time with 15 points.

The NWCA Releases Preseason NCAA Women’s Coaches Poll

MANHEIM, Pa. – With the start of 2022-23 women’s wrestling season nearing, the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released their NCAA Women’s Wrestling Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

For the first time in the four-year program history, North Central College is ranked atop the poll with 95 points. The Cardinals finished fourth at the 2022 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Coalition (NCWWC) National Championships. They are followed by 2022 runner-up and NWCA National Duals champion King University who has 88 points. These two programs are the only two that have at least 10 individuals ranked with North Central having 13 individuals ranked and King having 11.

Colorado Mesa University comes in third with 73 points and eight individuals ranked while defending national champion McKendree University is fourth with 57 points and seven individuals ranked.

NWCA Releases Final NCAA Women’s Rankings

MANHEIM, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced their final set of NCAA Women’s Wrestling Coaches Rankings leading into the NCWWC National Championships on March 4-5. The individual rankings will serve as the seeds for the national tournament.

King University remains on top of the poll, with McKendree University coming in second. King earns 120 points and is ranked first in the poll, with 13 individuals ranked. McKendree has the most ranked individuals with 14 and is second with 113 points. Both King and McKendree have three individuals ranked No. 1. Simon Fraser University has two of their eight individuals ranked No. 1 as they are ranked third with 90 points. North Central College has ten individuals ranked as the Cardinals earned 59 points and are ranked fourth. Colorado Mesa University rounds out the top five with 41 points, and seven individuals ranked.
