Saint John’s returns to the mat with a trio of duals this Saturday, Jan. 28 at Augsburg. SJU is scheduled to face No. 18 Concordia-Moorhead (10 a.m.), St. Olaf (noon) and the second-ranked Auggies at Si Melby Hall in Minneapolis.
The 2012 Minnesota Duals, featuring the four Minnesota NCAA Division III wrestling programs, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, starting at 10 a.m. at Augsburg’s Si Melby Hall in Minneapolis. Three rounds of dual meets will be held on two mats, as each school will face their three Minnesota rivals. COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John’s University wrestling moved up one spot to No. 8 in the Brute-Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division lll poll released Tuesday, Jan. 24.
Other members of the NCAA Great Lakes Region listed in the rankings include Augsburg (No. 2), Elmhurst of Illinois (No. 14, down one from 13th) and Concordia-Moorhead (No. 18, down three from 15th).
Lower-Weight Wins Boost Augustana Past SJU
COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Augustana (S.D.), ranked fifth nationally in NCAA Division II, jumped out to a 17-0 lead en route to a 23-13 win over No. 9 (Division III) Saint John’s on Saturday, Jan. 14, in Collegeville.
