St. Cloud State schedule announced for 2020-21 season

The St. Cloud State University wrestling schedule has been posted for the upcoming 2020-21 season. The Huskies will get the season underway on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7:00 p.m. with the annual Black/Red Classic intrasquad exhibition match in Halenbeck Hall.

This match will serve as a warm-up for the 2020-21 regular season, which will feature six Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference dual matches. The Huskies have won nine consecutive NSIC championships and they will open league action on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. with a dual match at the University of Mary.

NSIC Sets Viking Schedule with Six Competitions

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and Augustana University have announced a six-dual wrestling schedule for 2021.

The dual schedule has the Vikings competing three times at home inside the Elmen Center with three competitions on the road.

Augustana, entering its 18th season under the direction of former National Champion Jason Reitmeier, begins its season new NSIC associate member, Wisconsin-Parkside, on Jan. 7 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

NSIC Announces 2020-21 Wrestling Schedules

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The NSIC has announced its wrestling (and basketball) schedules for the 2020-21 academic year. The schedules were approved by the NSIC Board of Directors with the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, and staff as the top priority. Wrestling schedules will begin in January and schools will follow NCAA Sports Science Institute (SSI) guidelines for competition.

To mitigate COVID-19 exposure, schools will only compete against one opponent each week of the season.

Seven Home Matches Highlight 2020-21 Augustana Schedule

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A seven-match home wrestling schedule and 14 regular season dates are part of the 2020-21 Augustana wrestling schedule announced Thursday.

The Vikings, coming off a second-place finish in the 2019-20 NSIC standings, open their season with a pair of open tournaments with the Jimmie Open (Nov. 7) and DWU Open (Nov. 14).

The home debut of the 2020-21 squad has Augustana hosting North Dakota State on Nov. 20 inside the Elmen Center, a facility that saw the Vikings go 6-1 in last season. Augustana makes it back-to-back matches with Division I foes, and members of the Big XII, as the Navy and Gold travel just up I29 to South Dakota State on Nov. 11.

Gophers Single Match Tickets on Sale as Dual Times Finalized

Single match tickets for the 2019-20 Gopher wrestling season are now on sale with match times and television information finalized for this year’s schedule.

Fans can buy tickets online at GopherSports.com or by calling the Gophers ticket office at 1-800-U-GOPHER. For a direct link to tickets, check HERE.

The Gophers will have three home duals televised on major networks this season. First up the Gophers will appear on Big Ten Network against Wisconsin on Jan. 10 and Penn State on Feb. 9. Then, in the team’s final dual before the postseason, the Maroon and Gold welcome Nebraska on Feb. 21 for a dual televised on ESPNU.

Oles unveil 2019-20 schedule

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Fifteenth-year head coach Sean Ahrar and the St. Olaf College wrestling team officially unveiled the team’s 2019-20 schedule on Friday with the team’s season opener less than a month away.

The schedule includes five duals and five tournaments, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 2 with a trip to the Yellow Jacket Open in Rochester, Minn. After that, the Oles will compete at the Auggie-Adidas Invitational three weeks later at Augsburg’s Si Melby Hall.

St. Olaf starts December at the MSOE Invitational in Milwaukee, Wis. on Saturday, Dec. 7 before hosting Waldorf in its first dual of the season on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. at Skoglund Center.

Vikings Announce Dual With Arizona State on Nov. 15

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Augustana wrestling team will be heading down to sunny Tempe, Arizona, on Nov. 15 for a dual with the Sun Devils of Arizona State, head coach Jason Reitmeier announced this morning.

ASU finished second in the Pac-12 Championship last season and also finished in 12th place at the NCAA Division I Championship. Reitmeier is very excited for the opportunity against a strong Division I program.

“First of all, I would like to thank ASU and their coaching staff for inviting us down to compete against them,” Reitmeier said. “This is a great opportunity and experience for our young men to compete against one of the best D1 programs in the nation.
