MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota wrestling team has unveiled its 2026-27 schedule, head coach Brandon Eggum announced Tuesday in conjunction with the Big Ten. Match Start times and TV designations will be announced at a later date.

Seven home matches plus a return trip to the National Duals Invitational highlight the schedule for a Gopher team that returns seven starters from last season’s squad, including five that competed at the NCAA Championships, headlined by defending 184-pound national champion Max McEnelly.

In addition, the Gophers bring back reigning All-American Jore Volk (125 pounds), as well as two-time All-American Vance VomBaur (141), plus Charlie Millard (157) and Koy Hopke (285), who both competed in their first NCAA Championships last season.

Minnesota also benefits from the return of starters Ethan Riddle (174) and Gavin Nelson (197).

MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota wrestling program has unveiled its full 2025-26 schedule, head coach Brandon Eggum announced Monday in conjunction with the Big Ten.

Six home duals plus a pair of unique events highlight the schedule for a Gopher team that returns five starters from last year’s squad that finished tied for fifth at the NCAA Championships, including redshirt sophomore Max McEnelly (184 pounds) and redshirt senior Vance VomBaur (141). Minnesota also brings back national qualifiers in sixth-year senior Andrew Sparks (165) and redshirt junior Clayton Whiting (174), plus last year’s starter at 149 pounds, Drew Roberts, a redshirt senior.

In addition, the team welcomes a pair of transfers in two-time All-American Chris Cannon and 2024 All-American Jore Volk, as well as true freshmen Brett Swenson and Charles Vanier.

After the team’s open practice on Oct. 24, the season begins on Nov. 2 at the Southeast Open, hosted by Virginia Tech at the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.

Start Times Also Confirmed for Gopher Home Duals

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota wrestling team is scheduled to appear on the Big Ten Network four times this upcoming season, the conference and network announced Tuesday. In addition, the Gophers confirmed start times for all home meets this year.

Minnesota’s home slate starts on Nov. 26 with a 12 p.m. dual versus South Dakota State, while North Dakota State visits on Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.

The Gophers’ first appearance on the Big Ten Network comes on Jan. 15 when they visit Iowa at 7 p.m.

The other three broadcasts on BTN will all come from Maturi Pavilion, starting with a home dual against Nebraska on Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. It’s the final dual meet in a BTN tripleheader that night.

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota wrestling team announced its full schedule for the 2023-24 season on Monday.

The season officially kicks off Nov. 11 and features seven home duals inside Maturi Pavilion. The full season slate includes a total of 14 dual meets, as well as four tournaments. Start times and TV streaming coverage for the upcoming season will be announced at a later date.

The slate gets underway on November 11 when the Maroon & Gold travels to Fargo, N.D., to compete in the Bison Open, before kicking off the dual season at Bucknell on Nov. 16 in the first ever meeting between the schools.

Two days later, Minnesota will visit George Mason for a triangular with the Patriots and Morgan State. The second tournament of the season, the Daktronics Open, is slated for Nov. 19.
