Minnesota Announces Full 2022-23 Slate

The regular season schedule will feature 15 duals and three tournaments, making it the largest competition slate for the Gophers since 2019-20

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota wrestling program announced their full 2022-23 schedule on Tuesday morning, as the season will officially kick off on Nov. 13, and feature six home duals inside Maturi Pavilion.

The full season slate will feature a total of 15 dual meets, which will be the most since the 2019-20 campaign, as well as three tournaments. Start times and TV streaming coverage for the upcoming season will be announced at a later date.

The season slate officially gets underway on November 12th when the Maroon & Gold travels to Fargo, N.D. to compete in the Bison Open, before kicking off the dual season at home on Nov. 20 inside Maturi Pavilion by hosting Binghamton for just the second meeting in program history between the two schools.

South Dakota State Schedule Finalized For 2022-23

The South Dakota State wrestling team will host eight home events, including duals against three programs that finished in the top 15 at last season’s NCAA Championships, during the upcoming 2022-23 season.

“This is one of the best home schedules we’ve ever had,” said SDSU head coach Damion Hahn, who is entering his fifth season with the Jackrabbits. “I’m really excited for the season and can’t wait to see our guys compete.”

The first two months of the season will consist of a mix of tournaments and dual meets, starting with a trip to the Bison Open in Fargo, North Dakota, on Nov. 12. The Jackrabbits are scheduled to host the Daktronics Open Nov. 20 before traveling to the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 2-3) and the Soldier Salute tournament in Coralville, Iowa (Dec. 29-30) to close out the calendar year.

SDSU, 13-4 in duals a season ago with five returning NCAA qualifiers, kicks off the dual slate Nov. 18 versus Augustana. The Jackrabbits will then host a pair of regional Big Ten Conference opponents to wrap up the first half of the season, welcoming Minnesota to Frost Arena on Nov. 27 and Nebraska on Dec. 18. Nebraska finished fifth at the 2022 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, while Minnesota placed 11th.

Minnesota adds UNI Open to 2021-22 Schedule

The new addition to the upcoming slate will be one of four tournaments for Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota wrestling team will add another tournament to the 2021-22 slate, as the program announced Wednesday morning that the UNI Open has been added to the schedule for the upcoming season.

The UNI Open is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 11 inside the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The tournament will act as one of four tournaments for the Gophers this season.

Bison Announce 2021-22 Schedule

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State wrestling program and head coach Roger Kish announced the full schedule for the 2021-22 season Friday morning. The Bison schedule will feature nine Big 12 matchups, as well as trips to New York and Tennessee.

The Bison will open up the season with three straight events at home, including a season-opening dual against future Big 12 member California Baptist on November 6 at the Scheels Center.

North Dakota State will host Missouri in the first Big 12 matchup of the year on November 11, before hosting the Bison Open two days later on November 13.

Jackrabbit Schedule Set

Seven home dates and three road duals against teams that placed in the top 10 at last season’s NCAA Championships highlight South Dakota State’s 2021-22 wrestling schedule that was announced Thursday.

The Jackrabbits are scheduled to open the season Nov. 13 at the Bison Open in Fargo, North Dakota, before hosting a pair of events the next weekend. SDSU, which posted a 5-6 dual mark in an abbreviated 2020-21 campaign, is slated to welcome Augustana and Northern State to Frost Arena for a dual triangular Nov. 19, followed by the Daktronics Open Nov. 21.

To close out the calendar year and ring in 2022, SDSU is set to wrestle at a pair of Big Ten opponents while also squaring off against elite competition at some of the top tournaments in the country. The Jackrabbits travel Nov. 28 to Minnesota and Dec. 18 to Nebraska for duals, with the tournament slate for the team’s top wrestlers consisting of the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 3-4) and the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee (Jan. 1-2).

Minnesota Wrestling Unveils 2021-22 Schedule

The Golden Gophers will host six home duals in Maturi Pavilion this upcoming season

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota wrestling program released this season’s full schedule on Wednesday morning, as the Gopher campaign begins Nov. 13 and will feature six home duals at Maturi Pavilion in Minnesota’s sixth year under head coach Brandon Eggum.

Start times, TV and streaming coverage, single-game and season tickets will all be announced at a later date. The 2021-22 wrestling schedule is subject to change.

The Gophers will see its first action at the year at the Bison Open in Fargo, N.D., on Nov. 13, while the first dual of the season will see another rendition of a storied college wrestling rivalry, as the Maroon & Gold will square off against Oklahoma State in a home showdown on Nov. 20.
