Augustana Releases 2019-20 Schedule

Fans will have seven opportunities to catch the Vikings at home

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — After an impressive postseason showing last March, the Augustana Wrestling team is excited to announce the schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 wrestling season. The schedule features eight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) duals, five non-conference duals, five opens, and seven opportunities for fans to see the Vikings wrestle at home in the Elmen Center.

The Vikings will start their season on the road at the Jimmie Open in Jamestown, N.D. on November 2. Following the opener, the Vikings will hit the road for three more opens and a dual against North Dakota State before returning to Sioux Falls for the home opener.

Augustana Releases 2018-19 Schedule

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Augustana head wrestling coach Jason Reitmeier is excited to announce the schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 wrestling season. The schedule features eight Northern Sun Conference duals, one non-conference dual, five opens, one invitational. The Vikings first home event is set for the second week of January 2019.

The Vikings, who return 19 letter-winners along with four seniors, begin their season with the Daktronics Open, on Nov. 4 in Brookings, SD. The following weekend Augustana will compete in the Dakota Wesleyan Open, Nov. 10 in Mitchell, SD.

In their last meet of November, the Vikings will travel to Moorhead, Minn. Nov. 17 for the Finn Grinaker Open.

Nine Home Dates, Matside Ticket Option Highlight 2018-19 NDSU Schedule

FARGO, N.D. – Nine home dates including eight dual matches a matside season ticket option highlight the North Dakota State University 2018-19 wrestling schedule.

North Dakota State will offer a limited number matside season tickets at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex for all eight duals this season. There are 50 total seats available. There will be a limit of four matside season tickets per request. Deadline to submit requests is Friday, September 21. More information is available at GoBison.com.

The challenging schedule for NDSU and head coach Roger Kish starts with a pair of non-conference home duals against the Big Ten’s Northwestern at noon Sunday, Nov. 4, and Northern Illinois from the Mid-American Conference, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8. The 48th annual Bison Open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.

Huskies Announce 2018-19 Schedule

ST. CLOUD, MINN. – Head Wrestling Coach, Steve Costanzo has announced the Huskies wrestling schedule for 2018-19. The season starts in November with ranking matches, includes visits from NCAA top-20 opponents Northern State University (Prep Night) and Minnesota State – Mankato (Senior Night). The season ends with nationals in Cleveland, OH to highlight St. Cloud State University wrestling schedule.

“The schedule once again is packed with major challenges for our student-athletes to best prepare them for the NCAA Championships in March,” said head coach Steve Costanzo. “It’s important to get the right looks from our opponents and get our wrestlers ready to win at the NCAA’s.

St. Cloud State University Wrestling finished their 2017-18 campaign winning their third NCAA DII National Championship in the past four years and had six individuals claim NCAA All-American honors. The Huskies, which sent ten student-athletes to the NCAA Championships last March, opens on Thursday, Nov. 1 with Annual Black/Red Classic. The event will help determine early season placing on the depth chart.

Jackrabbit wrestling schedule revealed

Duals against six teams that finished in the top 25 of the team standings at last season’s national championships highlight South Dakota State’s 2018-19 wrestling schedule, which was announced Wednesday.

“We are excited to be able to offer fans the opportunity to see the team contend against top-notch competition,” first-year head coach Damion Hahn said. “It is a tough schedule that will prepare us for the Big 12 and NCAA tournaments.”

The Jackrabbits, who finished a program-best 12th at the 2018 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships on the strength of seven national qualifiers and three All-Americans, including defending 133-pound national champion Seth Gross, are slated to open the season Nov. 4 by hosting the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open. The individual tournament moves to a new venue this year in the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
