The #1 ranked St. Cloud State University wrestling team (14-0, 6-0 NSIC) rolled to a convincing 33-3 victory over #17 Minnesota State University on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Mankato, Minn.
SCSU won nine of 10 matches in the NSIC dual, which is the Huskies’ 62nd consecutive victory dating back to the 2016-17 season. The Huskies will now prepare for a trip to the Dan Parker Open, which will be hosted by UW-Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisc. on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Huskies’ lone loss of the day at MSU was a setback at 125-pounds, but #2 Garrett Vos quickly got things rolling with a tech fall win at 6:21 (18-0) over MSU’s Cole Gille at 133-pounds.
#1 St Cloud State scores 38-3 victory over MSUM in Pierz
The #1 St. Cloud State University wrestling team (13-0, 5-0 NSIC) continued its run through the NSIC schedule with a convincing 38-3 win over Minnesota State, Moorhead (1-6, 0-5 NSIC) on Thursday, Jan. 30 in a match wrestled on the mats at Healy High School in Pierz, Minn.
In a homecoming of sorts for senior 174-pounder Kolton Eischens, the Huskies were the host team in Pierz, Minn., which is hometown for Eischens. A top prep wrestler for the Pioneers during his high school career at Pierz, Eischens capped the night for the Huskies with a 21-5 tech fall win at 4:38 over MSUM’s Evan Foster at 174-pounds.
The fourth ranked wrestler in NCAA DII wrestling at 174-pounds, Eischens now owns an 11-1 record for the Huskies.
The #1 ranked St. Cloud State University wrestling team (12-0, 4-0 NSIC) will be taking its act on the road for a home match against Minnesota State Moorhead (1-5, 0-4 NSIC) on Thursday, Jan. 30 at Healy High School in Pierz, Minn.
The Huskies will share a night of wrestling in Pierz that will start with an elementary/junior high wrestling match at 4:15 p.m. and a dual match between the Pierz Healy High School Pioneers varsity team against Sartell High School at 5:30 p.m. SCSU and MSU Moorhead are slated to begin their NSIC dual match at 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 30.
Tickets for the evening of wrestling in Pierz are $6 for adults and $3 for students and you can purchase them at the gate that evening.
#1 SCSU Wrestling rolls to 45-0 win at UMary on Jan. 25
The #1 St. Cloud State University wrestling team (12-0, 4-0 NSIC) charted its 60th consecutive dual match victory with a strong 45-0 win at NSIC rival University of Mary on Jan. 25 in Bismarck, N.D.
The Huskies gained wins in all 10 bouts at Mary and the match included three falls, one tech fall and four major decisions. SCSU has now won an NCAA DII record 60 consecutive dual matches and the Huskies will continue the hunt for their ninth consecutive NSIC title on Jan. 30 with a match against Minnesota State, Moorhead. The Huskies will be the designated home team in the match but it will be held at the Healy High School gym in nearby Pierz, Minn.

#1 St. Cloud State charts big win at Minot State, 39-3
The #1 ranked St. Cloud State wrestling team (11-0, 3-0 NSIC) continued its success in 2019-20 with a solid 39-3 victory at #23 Minot State University in Minot, N.D. on Friday, Jan. 24.
The Huskies charted nine consecutive wins in the match after starting the night with a loss at 125-pounds. The victory was SCSU’s 59th consecutive victory, which is an NCAA DII record for most consecutive dual match wins.
