The University of Minnesota returned two All-Americans to the 2017 squad, and junior Tommy Thorn has wrestled like one this season. 16 of his 18 wins this season have been bonus-point wins, with seven pins he is a co-leader on the team, he also is tied with senior Nick Wanzek with eight major decisions this season.
With the Gophers hosting Rutgers, it was an opportune time to talk with publisher of The Guillotine, Jeff Beshey about the state of Minnesota wrestling this season and to get a halfway-point look in at the University of Minnesota.

Elk River, MN – The Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association today named Tommy Thorn of St. Michael-Albertville High School as Mr. Minnesota, 2014. He is a four-time state champion, finishing his stellar career with a record of 199 wins and just 6 losses.
