MWCA Recognizes 2020 State Individual Team Champions

Since 2013, the Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association has recognized the Team Champions from the MSHSL Individual State Tournament. The winning team and runner-up from each class (A, AA, and AAA) earn a plaque to display at their respective schools.

This year the MWCA is proud to recognize Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/Westbrook-Walnut Grove as the Class A Champion, Simley as the Class AA Champion, and Stillwater as the Class AAA Champion.

SMSU Announces Early Signing

MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University head wrestling coach Jesse Nelson announced on Monday that Jace Paplow from Dundee, Minn., has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and wrestling career at SMSU.

Paplow, a senior 174-pounder at Westbrook-Walnut Grove High School, has acquired many accolades in his high school career. As a junior in 2018-19, he was the Section 3A champion, placed third at the state tournament and was named to the 2019 Minnesota State Academic All-State Wrestling third team.
