U.S. men’s freestyle makes history with first U17 World Championship team title

ROME, Italy – U.S. men’s freestyle won a team title for the first time in history at the U17 World Championships in Rome after going 4-0 in the medal rounds on Sunday.

Adams goes for Gold at the U17 Greco-Roman World Championships

ROME, Italy – Joel Adams advances to the 65 kg Greco-Roman finals after going undefeated on day one of the U17 World Championships in Rome, Italy. He will wrestle for gold on Tuesday at noon U.S. ET.

Adams had a perfect day, going 4-0 without giving up a single point. He will move to the gold-medal match tomorrow against Ahoura Bouveiri of Iran who placed seventh at the 2022 U17 Asian Championships.

In his semifinal bout, Adams had three swift takedowns, including an arm drag and a duck, on his way to a 6-0 victory over Petro Shafranskyi of Ukraine. Earlier today, he put on a show with two wins by technical fall and one by decision.
