Wade Short: A Dance of Dedication and Dominance

A 1991 graduate of Simley High School, Wade etched his legacy with multiple state championships in wrestling while showcasing exemplary prowess in football and tennis. His post-school accolades include national dance titles, renowned ballet intensives, and a profound impact as an educator and entrepreneur in Inver Grove Heights. Wade’s multifaceted success in arts and athletics rightly earns him a revered spot in the Simley Hall of Fame.

Wade Short appeared on the popular show Dance Fever in 1983. In 1984 he competed on Star Search, a national TV talent show.

After that, he continued to succeed in dance, football, tennis, and wrestling, where he earned multiple state championships and was a part of three Simley High School state championship wrestling teams.

Because of these accomplishments, Short will be inducted into the Simley Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony at halftime of the Simley football game Friday, September 1, when the defending state champion Spartans host Winona High School at 7 p.m. Continue reading at medium.com/@krumriematt →
