Minnesota State’s Robertson Garners NSIC Wrestler of the Week Honors

Mankato, Minn. — Minnesota State junior Da’Wayne Robertson has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Wrestler of the Week.

Robertson, a Mesa, Ariz., native, placed first at the Auggie-Adidas Open Saturday in Minneapolis, Minn. Robertson had three wins en route to his first-place finish in the gold 125-pound bracket. After receiving a bye, Robertson got his day started with a decision win over Ryan Weinmann (Wisconsin-La Crosse) by a score of 12-8. His next match was against the No. 6 wrestler in NCAA Division III, Daniel Page (Central). Robertson claimed a 9-4 decision over Page and then, in the first place match, Robertson won 3-1 over the No. 1 wrestler in DIII and returning national champion, Mike Fuenffinger of Augsburg.

St. Cloud State’s Clint Poster named National Wrestler of the Week

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The second D2Wrestle.com National Wrestler of the Week award presented some tough choices, and ultimately two wrestlers stood out. This week’s winners are St. Cloud State’s Clint Poster Findlay’s Nick Goebel .

Poster also earned NSIC Wrestler of the Week honors after winning first place honors in the 157 lbs. bracket at the 2014 Harold Nichols Open at Iowa State University on Nov. 8 in Ames, Iowa.

Pack Named Initial Western Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Week

OREM, Utah — South Dakota State Senior Cody Pack has been named the Western Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Week, as announced by conference officials Tuesday afternoon.

Pack went 4-0 at the 22nd Annual Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open on Sunday. The two-time NCAA qualifier recorded two tech. falls en route to his first Dak Open title after losing in the championship bout the previous two seasons.
